TPAS is a free and confidential service and you should put your case in writing to them, together with correspondence from the scheme’s formal process. TPAS has developed its role as a conciliation service between members and their pension schemes. It is available to assist members and beneficiaries of pension schemes in connection with difficulties which they have failed to resolve with the trustee or administrators of the scheme. A complainant may appeal to the Pensions Ombudsman if they believe that they have been unfairly treated by the trustees or managers of an occupational or personal pension scheme.
